I was visiting with a good friend of mine last week, Ken Robbins of Response Mine Interactive.

 

Ken and I discussed victim theory and its power in marketing, messaging and our daily lives. It is far more powerful and easy to think of yourself as a victim.

 

If life happens to you, you aren’t responsible for your own happiness.

 

But you must always remember that you are the hero of your own story.

 

The decision to be happy with where you are, what you are doing and how you are progressing is solely yours – just like the choice to step out of the norm and build a business of your own.

 

When I find myself disappointed with how life or business is progressing, I remind myself that the trials and tribulations I face make me stronger for new challenges.
